Description

The CVVFA Convention is scheduled from Wednesday, July 30 through Saturday, August 2. Our host is the Citizens Fire Company of Newport, PA who will be celebrating their 100th anniversary and have a full week of events scheduled for those who want to come early.

100th Anniversary Celebration

 Sunday July 27, 2025

• Starting Ceremonies: 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM in the Square of Newport.  Opening, Memorial, and Queen ceremony with entertainment.  

Monday July 28, 2025

• Youth Night: 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM in the Square of Newport. Enjoy the evening full of games and entertainment with the kids. Face painting and carnival games with other activities.  Food stands available. Juke Box Hits entertaining with music.  

Tuesday July 29, 2025

• Fire Expo Night: 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM in the Square of Newport. All local county Fire Companies are invited to display their apparatus for the public. 4-man Relay competition. Food stands available. Juke Box Hits entertaining with music.  

Wednesday July 30, 2025

• Family Game Night: 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM in the Square of Newport. Fun and games for adults and children.  Food stands available. Juke Box Hits entertaining with music.  

Thursday July 31, 2025

• Start of CVVFA: 124th Convention Festivities:
  • 9:00 AM: Meeting at Newport Firehouse (Open to only CVVFA members and Perry County, PA firefighters)
  • 10:00 AM: CVVFA Memorial Service (Open to the public)
  • 5:00 PM: Owl's Club Picnic Grounds, Millerstown, PA. Firefighters (Open to only CVVFA members and Perry County, PA firefighters)

Friday August 1, 2025

• CVVFA: 124th Convention Festivities:
  • 9:00 AM: Meeting at Newport Firehouse (Open to CVVFA members and Perry County, PA firefighters)
  • 6:00 PM: Moose Lodge 925, Millerstown, PA. Firefighter's Banquet (Open to only CVVFA members and Perry County, PA firefighters
